Highway 60 from Phoenix heads NE from Phoenix through Globe AZ, across the Salt River Valley, up onto the Mongolian Rim and into Show Low AZ.
There was still quite a bit of snow on the Sunrize Ski Area and in the surrounding foot hills.
There are also some of the excellent looking mountain streams that are reportedly full of trout. I'm planning to head up there couple times this summer with my fly rod to escape the valley heat and harass the fish.
I got to put some new camera filters to the test to bring out the highlights of this part of Arizona.
